Keeping drivers alert and roads safer, around the clock
Safety is at the core of Centurion. Fatigue is a major contributor to serious incidents, so we built a practical, 24/7 response model to help manage risk in real-time.
What is the Nexus Centre
Launched in 2023, the Nexus Centre is Centurion’s always-on hub that monitors Guardian fatigue, distraction and field of view events. When a confirmed fatigue event occurs, our team responds promptly by contacting the driver and guiding the next safe step.
All events are captured in our Incident Management System. This gives operations a clear record for analysis, trend reviews and proactive risk assessment.
What we do
- Monitor Guardian fatigue, distraction and field of view alerts
- Contact drivers on confirmed fatigue events and support safe decision-making
- Record and track every event in the Incident Management System
- Manage after-hours breakdowns for vehicles and equipment
- Run Trigger Action Response Plans for customers that require specific coverage
How it works
- Guardian detects a fatigue, distraction or field of view event.
- Nexus verifies the alert and calls the driver.
- Details are logged in the Incident Management System.
- Insights and actions are shared with operations to reduce future risk.
Reporting and utilisation
The Nexus Centre produces simple utilisation reports that help operations allocate fleet more effectively. We use clear, distance-based metrics so teams can see where assets are working well and where improvements are needed.
Why it matters
- Faster response to driver fatigue events
- Better data for investigations and learning
- Improved fleet allocation and efficiency
- A single point of contact after hours
We are proud to be one of the first Australian road transport companies to resource driver monitoring and fatigue management at this scale.
