Together, we are launching the Centurion Inclusion Football Academy 2024 (IFA24) for footballers aged 16 years and up.

We are excited to announce that Centurion is partnering with the WA All Abilities Football Association (WAAAFA).

This partnership highlights our commitment to cultivating inclusivity in the community and employment opportunities for people of all abilities.

Together, we are launching the Centurion Inclusion Football Academy 2024 (IFA24) for footballers aged 16 years and up.

The Centurion IFA24 will focus on the development of football, wellbeing and leadership under the guidance of head coaches.

Executive General Manager of Centurion, Kym Abbott, said Centurion is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment.

“We are proud to partner with WA All Abilities, an effort that goes beyond sport to help develop confidence and skills, for these young individuals to thrive both on and off the field,” said Ms Abbott.

“This initiative allows us to combine our passion for inclusivity with a clear focus on building pathways to meaningful employment opportunities.”

Executive Officer of WAAAFA, Hayden Marchetto, said they have now selected the players who will explore employment pathways and opportunities through the new Centurion Interest Assessment.

“The Centurion team will volunteer at training and support from the sidelines, their involvement will provide the players insight into various career opportunities,” said Mr Marchetto.

This partnership will leverage IFA participants lived skills and knowledge to advance to the possibility of gaining meaningful employment with Centurion in varied roles.

THE SENSORY CONVERGENCE CONTAINER

As part of the two-year partnership, Centurion will be the official logistics partner of the Sensory Convergence Container, providing transport and storage needs for Australia’s first transportable Sensory Container.

The convergence container aims to create a sensory-friendly environment for children and increase access to community events, activities and sports festivals.

“Our partnership with Centurion helps us reach communities across WA, reducing stress and improving engagement for families,” said Mr Marchetto.

“This empowers families in WA by providing resources and encouraging them to advocate for a more inclusive society.”

Stay tuned to our socials and WA All Abilities Football Association platforms to learn more and get involved with the events they attend.
